In the Silence of Time

In the silence of time
Tomorrow's unknown
Maybe I'll try
Maybe I won't

Dropping my pride
I've struggled too long
I feel it inside
Solemn yet strong

I patiently wait
Watching the tides
The lapping of waves
Fighting my mind

Walking to shore
I look to the sand
Wishing for more
I tighten my hand

Stood on there own
These memories of me
And now I feel old
I just cannot see

For I didn't look
And I ended up here
On the route that I took
Only darkness appeared

These demons of mine
Long do they wait
Frozen by time
Forever they stay

Where did I go?
It left me behind
Floating ashore
In the silence of time.

Another emotion-filled write. I kind of like it better in reverse. Very clever Ben!

Very good Ben. The fact that it reads backwards too is amazing. Not an easy thing to do.
