In the Shadows of the Night
In the shadows of the night
The sun is swallowed
Shows no light
A sudden rustle
Bird takes flight
Bursts to flame
A glorious sight
Through the night
A pale white light
Flaming high
Glorious sight
In the sky
Through the night
Darkness swoops
Cold and clear
Keeping death
Closing near
Pressing
Pushing
Closing tight
Can’t breath
Can’t see
Can’t fight
Trapped
In the shadows of the night
