In the Shade
There’s nothing new under the sun
Under the moon as well
The shady side makes better fun
Has something new to tell
I’m in the cool of shade again
My every breath is new
The air gets fresher with the rain
Makes me feel happy too
I like the sun, but now’s the time
To hide away from light
Goodbye to moon, its pantomime
I find a bit uptight
Draw down the curtain, let the chill
Creep through the open door
While in the shade, this homely feel
I treasure more and more.
