In the Realm of Silver Linings
In the realm of silver linings
Dwells a battered and shattered soul,
A soul battered by whips of folks
At the highest helm of power
And shattered by some spiteful friends
Greedy to oust him from his seat,
Take the winds away from his sails
Or vilely stab him on the back.
Dark clouds have shrouded his whole life,
His daily living is a strife,
Tomorrow has turned to a tale
Of sorrow and a well of stress,
Hopes for the future have flown away
Like haze under rays of the sun
And smiles have been buried alive
Deep in the graveyard of the heart.
Yet in the midst of the darkness
A small stretch of silver linings
Standing as a foil to the gloom
Simmers like a bright beacon light,
Beckoning the desperate soul
To shore up his faith in the Lord,
Whose wand of justice and fairness
Knows no fault across time and space.
In the grim darkness of the clouds
The silver linings are tutors
Of the real lessons of life
The true purpose of existence
The gateway to long lasting bliss
And the highway to inner peace
In search for a heavenly realm
Where the light ever shines bright.
The rays of the silver linings
Now fondly fan the flame of faith
Of the silently shattered soul
In the supreme Divinity
And have expanded his wisdom
That wealth, power and position
Are not the fount of happiness
As is devotion to the Lord.
