In the presence of You

Yet again, I sighted the Kaaba
And had a haircut from the Saudi barber.
I marvel at the at the atmosphere around me,
Every soul bathing in the spiritual ecstasy;
I saw the mosque of the prophet,
In Madina- A city that Allah himself protects.
I experienced the 7 hours long trip-
From Madinah to Makkah, and I didn't take a drip;
I saw Makamah Ibraheem and I prayed
Because the due of Umrah is what I paid.
In the presence of You I found a rare peace,
And it felt like my broken base didn't miss a piece;
I felt whole again, Ya Allah in your presence,
For if I live without you, what's the essence?
Like the cool breezes of the elegushi beach,
Your mercies blew upon me-
And protected me out of reach;
No one is worth worshipping other than You,
And I'm happiest, in the presence of You!
