In the Night

In the night, when all is still,
The world is quiet, the air is chill,
The moon hangs low in the sky,
And stars twinkle as they pass by.

The darkness holds a certain charm,
A sense of peace that can disarm,
The worries and the stress of day,
And let us simply drift away.

The shadows dance upon the walls,
As night time whispers and night time calls,
And in this peaceful, dreamlike state,
We find a chance to contemplate.

The secrets of the universe unfold,
As night time stories are told,
And in the quiet of the night,
We find the strength to face the fight.

For in the darkness, there is light,
A glimmer shining, oh so bright,
And as we journey through the night,
We know that everything's all right.
