In the Moment

I was listening to the rain,
Pitter patter against the windowpane,
Cooling breeze gently swaying trees,
Birds in shelter under the dancing leaves,
Wind chimes serenade on the awning eave,
Pink and red roses lining the fence interweave,
Enjoying the splendor of the soft rain before eve,
The fragrance of nature lingers like potpourri,
Across the skyline clouds part and the sun is free,
Rays of sunlight shining down on me,
Blissful aura is a peaceful serenity,
For this moment has just become a moment in memory.

Hi Corwin, your artistry with words is displayed beautifully in this 'in the moment' poem. I felt like I could see, hear, smell and feel being in this moment. Awesome!

Oh I'm so honored! Don't just borrow it for a bit, borrow it forever. It's the crowning glory to your poem. I guess we just had our first collaboration :)

Thank you for reading and for sharing thoughts. 'In the moment' sounds so much better and more accurate than emotive soooo...I might just borrow your idea for a bit :^P
