In the Moment
I was listening to the rain,
Pitter patter against the windowpane,
Cooling breeze gently swaying trees,
Birds in shelter under the dancing leaves,
Wind chimes serenade on the awning eave,
Pink and red roses lining the fence interweave,
Enjoying the splendor of the soft rain before eve,
The fragrance of nature lingers like potpourri,
Across the skyline clouds part and the sun is free,
Rays of sunlight shining down on me,
Blissful aura is a peaceful serenity,
For this moment has just become a moment in memory.
