In the Middle of Nowhere

Reflections vividly plays in my mind
The shadows of hope flickers in my heart
There is a sudden motion of leaves
As they announce my homecoming
No more waves from the crowd
Nobody will smile back at me
For the feeling of guilt is here to stay

My armor never protected me
From the spears they hurled against me
My heart suddenly stopped beating
As the wind announces my defect
They never waved cause they’ll never know
They will never smile at me cause they’ll never see
The feeling of being alone
In the middle of nowhere
