In the Garden I Sit and I Hum
In my garden I sit and I hum
I'm barely a child but not quite a woman
the plants are all ripe but not quite ready to pick
still I don't pay attention I just sit and I hum
I'm dreaming of summer and dreaming of love
though my daddy says that ain't quite right
I want to fall in love and so surely I will
