In the Frame of Fall and Rain

Listen to poem:
In the Frame of Fall and Rain David J Walker If I painted your picture You would still be 19 turning 20 Walking barefoot in the fields of A distant Fall Over hills of light autumn breezes The kind that chills and slightly freezes Your perfect skin Never come in From that half-light of Of a full autumn rain Your face in the frame Your slight smile in the equinox hour A mile or so down the back roads Of our overlayed youth
