In the Forest of My Dreams
When darkness falls to night’s embrace
Coy and chimeric dreams I chase.
They beckon then lead me astray -
Ephemeral and fey they play.
Dreams fondle my subconscious mind,
Then toy with my erotic side,
As I submissively await,
Earning my trust, they dissipate.
Lost in the forest of my dreams
I break free from their tempting themes.
Shedding the shadow of the night
I embrace new dawn’s lucid light.
