In the Empty of Lonely

Silence echoes when I am alone;
when there is not a soul to hear
the empty echoes in my bones
nor see the moonlight strike my tears.

Broken moonbeams, shattered dreams
and threads of fragile love;
the dried up streams and silent screams
and memories thereof...

Evening shadows cross my face
and settle in my mind.
This lonliness I can't erase
and solace I can't find.

Pillows hush the rush of sobs
that just can't be contained.
My heart then wrestles phantom mobs
so love for you can be maintained.

Solitary lamentations wage
a war where a new love may be
a victim of a lonely rage
that builds inside of me.

Like so many nights before
my thoughts are my own company
and two sides wage a whispering war
that echo though a lonesome me.
