In the Distance

I see a growing Light in the distance
It calls to me
And I seek its voice
It beacons me
I need to go
And I struggle to leave
I need to grow
I see a growing Light in the distance

I hear the Winds screaming my name
They want me
And I answer with tears
I cannot see
Take me away
Winds please find me
Take me today
I hear the Winds screaming my name

The Thunder roars down to the grounds
Where I stand
And I cower in shadows
On the lands
Why do I fear
Shaking sounds of Thunder
I shed a tear
The Thunder roars down to the grounds

My tears soften the hard clay
I shed them often
Where I lay
There will be a time when I go
There will be a time when I leave
One day…
