In the Distance

The plan was to 
Scan each picture 
from the volumes
of albums 
of our
40 plus years past 

The last effort cast 
Into shadows 
Of windows
Of beveled glass 

	Blurring 
Images of memories 
Committed to the 
soft burning thoughts
of what life
	wanted to be 

as I see you
	as you see me

In the distance
