In the Closet

( IN THE CLOSET )

Sam closes his eyes, red and swollen as he begins to weep.
The covers up to his nose, Its hard for him to sleep.
He stares over at the closet, as his trembles shake the bed.
Another night of scary things, as he listens to whats said.

Shadows appear on the wall, they dance fast and quick.
His trusty slingshot is by his side, just in case he has to flick.
Teddy bears are close at hand, each one well within reach.
I am very powerful is repeated, as he practices his speech.

The door opens to his closet, he watches very close.
3 goblins appear behind his clothes, each one very gross.
They scan the room searching for him, wanting his hands and toes.
One slips on his hot wheel car, it got mad u could tell and it shows.

The creatures got up on his bed, his head flew under the covers.
They grabbed his feet and got closer, beginning to trap him and smother.
Sam screamed for his parents, as the goblins gathered the deposit.
His parents came in as the light came on, and the goblins ran for the closet.
