In the Air
In the air
In closing one’s eyes to the reality of their days.
The adventures of one who has experienced, stays
on within memory, magnificent in many ways.
Soaring among the shadows painted upon the walls
of ones memories hoard, drifting leisurely down its halls,
reminiscing of days long gone, the wings of history recalls
all the journeys experienced by one of age, locked in a cage
as life passes by, gone in the blink of an eye as one turns a page,
looks in the rearview mirror, realizing this may be the last stage
one may know of life, the last stage upon which one might walk,
play their part before an audience of family and friends, talk
of all, deep, to the core, the heart of the matter, no fear, no shock.
Dedicated to Hendrix Lenis, Fari J. Lotfali, Roger Loubert.
