Notes About The Poem

Be very careful when watching the progression of the eclipse today.

In Solar Eclipse

In Solar Eclipse

In Solar eclipse, the moon will block out the sun
Don't look without glasses, good solar ones
Will damage your eyes and the retina there
Make you go blind, if you continue to stare

Will be very dim when solar glass worn
Don't remove them when bright, or your eyes will be torn
When eclipse becomes total, so you only see moon
You make look with bare eyes, but don't look too soon

As soon as the sun sneaks a peek 'round the moon
Put the glasses back on, better not late than soon
Don't be a fool and think your eyes won't be hurt
I've written this poem so you'll be on alert
