In Snowflakes I Behold

Magnificent Willow stands in silent prayer, calm and composed, So does the unruffled Evergreen, Stretching its arms in thankfulness,  Decked with shimmering snow-pellets,  Gleaming and glistening as the countless stars are, In the absolute darkness of the magnanimous cosmos, Majestic jewellery adorned.   A tranquil, serene, noiseless night,  Mesmerizing snow, falling uninterrupted, unhindered, Envelop the entire universe around me. I glimpse a life of multi-coloured hues, In every snowflake I behold,  The inspiring dreams, the fervent hopes, the intense ebullience, the solitary woes -  For ever crystallized.  Written On June 23, 2020 Second Place - Reflections In Silence Contest Sponsor: Silent One

Aditi, I really appreciate your kind and inspiring words. Being in Canada for many years, I have started loving snowfall when everything becomes serene around me. That's an excellent moment of reflection and meditation. Thank you for inspiring me with your lovely words and your writing. Love, Mala

I too love the silence of snow fall. I used to sit watching as the snow gathered, softening all of the sharp edges across the world and wonder as it became more and more silent. Enjoyed your poem.

Hi Darlene, It does snow in India, only in the mountain-areas. I didn't see any snow until I came to Canada. At present I am settled in Canada, where I see a lot of snow, and like you, I like watching them fall when it starts. Enjoy your day, my dear friend! Love, Mala
