In Phantom Dreams

Draw near to me; you need not hide. Where night is blind, I glimpse your light. . I’ll be the warmth you’ve been denied. Draw near to me; you need not hide. Unmasked, you rant. You’re petrified I’ll leave you here to dark of night. Draw near to me; you need not hide. Where night is blind, I glimpse your light
Romanticism in Triolet form for the Contest of the Silent One. Inspired Line from "Phantom of the Opera" is line two from this part of the song And in this labyrinth “where night is blind” the Phantom of the Opera is there/here, inside my/your mind

Simply lovely! My favorite line:"Where night is blind I glimpse your light" this and the fact that he is "unmasked" in the dark of night, is great imagery. You helped us to see what you see. It's clear that he is more real and drawing strength from you in the undercover of the darkness! You were able to tell a story, take us on a starlight adventure, and paint with the words, all in one fell swoop! Nice! Yeah...I get to Rate this one! EXCELLENT!

This is really beautiful, with such a haunting and enchanting feel for me, Andrea...I think you captured that atmosphere so well here. I am loving that "draw near to me" line...I really enjoyed Phantom of the Opera, so many beautiful songs-- would love to watch that musical.

Even without reading the explanation I knew it was about the Phantom of the Opera. Good use of the line from the song. Again I wish I could write music so that this could be sung, the way that it flows in my head.

Unmasked, we all have fear. Good message. I like the old movie with Claude Reins as the phantom. Poor fiddle player he is dismissed from the Paris Opera because he can no longer cut it on the violin. Sounds like me. Love, daver

I like it that you chose the triolet for this one, Andie. Very effective for the lines you picked out. Goodluck! hugs.
