In our deepest fantasies
we all daydream
about this and that
in a make belief world
our character enact
one day however
there was a competition
where we needed to be still
and feel the void’s emission
thoughts and senses dimmed
even as awareness peaked
we sensed magnetic cool heat
reality as we knew it was tweaked
eye of our soul opened
cognising a unified force field
within it floated the multiverse
as power God does wield
our vaporised presence
encompassed the universe
wherein gong of Om resounded
as the noumena’s verse
awareness self-aware
dropped ego from its life tree
all that then remained was light
revealing our true Self free
beyond space-time poised as such
we were in ineffable peace complete
from a centreless fulcrum we sensed
the throb of God’s heartbeat
so the two first became one
then the one became two
becoming the flow of living light
we witnessed the refrains renew
lucid dreaming or meditation
we can give this trance any name
here we are now back again
but we are no longer the same
