In My Twilight
In My Twilight
When leaves of time had fallen
And mountain tops had shed its snow
When forest greens and birds have perched
I shall read my book in bedtime glow
I shall open pages as I always did
Reminiscing life’s peak and ebb,
How I surmounted the foibles and seek,
The person in me, with faint smile on cheek
Alone I shall play a harp
Read and write without regard
Codicils I’ll make to put just beside
To find as a lark, of a child wide-eyed
As I go with the bleak sunlight
To join the stars and moon at night
Hiding my face beyond the hills
I shall say to myself, “This Life is a Feat”.
