In My Face

Society doesn’t make any sense.
Say no to a bible in their face,
Yet shove rainbow pride in our face.
Which is invading our personal space.

You may not understand me,
But you will undoubtedly hear me.
I’m not here to criticize or condemn,
All I want is to make a truth or mend.

America wants to set the standards,
Like reading through a survival guide.
The country’s embarked on a wild ride,
And the solution is nowhere in sight.

Everything happens for a reason,
Even in the toughest time of seasons.
You truly do reap the things you sow,
No matter how long it takes to show.
