In My Dreams

In My Dreams You visit me in my dreams and I cling to you. So vividly real it seems; together, we two. You walk in my dreams with me and I beg you, 'Stay!' But you say you can't and leave as I face the day. Wishing to stay in my dreams I return to sleep, finding you again, in streams where time and love meet. In my dreams I have you, still pleading, 'Please ... don't go!' Your touch, your smell--seems so real. O' that it were so! ©deborah burch 3.14.2013

This longing or aching can be quite something. I remember it well! Affection and desire is so often not reciprocated.

Awww, Deborah, a fine write of longing and missing. To use a well-worn cliche, may your dreams be realized. Thank you for sharing this gem. :)
