In My Dream I could twirl around, Climb the highest mound, As a setting sun would show, No one would ever know, About a pretty silhouette, Doing the perfect pirouette, Behind her as the sum dims, Climb higher the moon beams, Twilight soon sets in, The stars all twinkling, As I dance there’s not a chance, Who could ever know, That ages ago, A fairy lived who was re-born, As a fair maiden, Of beauty unparalleled, Which only the star lulled, Dark auburn hair, Suit this maiden fair, With chestnut eyes, The songbird lies, Of her beauty that lights, The gloom of sad nights, In my dream, In my dream....
