In My Blood

In my blood Be it an ardent passion of love or a flourishing hatred of betrayal, Be it a joy of togetherness or sorrow of separation, You constantly rose as a raging red in my blood. Once a sparkling diamond of my eyes now a tear of remorse shed in disguise, That thump, rhyming beat of heart how could you tear my soul apart ? Breathless when I shall lay to rest Will wonder why I was often put to test, A breeze that would have touched my past, Will tell tales of your deceit leaving aghast, As embers of passion freeze in my blood .... Forever ..... Forevermore. Written Dec 8th, 2015 For contest- In my blood Sponsor- Anthony Slausen Awarded 10th place win

This is a sad reminder of how fragile the heart is Dr. Sharma. Mine has been broken once and shattered by another. It becomes more difficult to glue the pieces back together, but when you have a wall up for protection, it helps. Blessings, Connie
