In Memory of Mikey

A poem for my nephew Mikey who committed suicide

Three years ago, you made a choice, you chose to close a door
You left behind, broken hearts, without you, life is poor
If one could wave a magic wand, the wand would wave your way
You would still be standing here, on this gorgeous summers day
But life is not so cleanly cut, life can be black as mud
You chose to close the door of life, you closed the door for good.
You left behind, broken hearts, your family and your mum
But one thing that will never change, you are still your mothers son.

God Bless. Rip ***
