The years have flown, where have they gone, since nineteen sixty-nine?
When, in November, said our vows, I was yours and you were mine.

Said we'd have a life long marriage. Said that we would never part.
Those words we said, back then were true, and given from the heart.

We'd both seen disappointment from relations in the past
As we kissed, to seal the deal, we swore that it would last

More than two and fifty years ago, is when those binding words were said
Although your life has ended, they're still planted in my head.

God has taken you to Heaven, wherein his loving arms you rest.
In my heart and mind still have you. My life with you the very best.

Never thought that I'd outlive you, that was not for me to say.
Your love is still within me, and we'll meet again some day.

He took you first before me, cannot even fathom why.
I'll try to follow where he leads me until you greet me the sky

You'll always be here me, you're not going anywhere
God knows what's best for everyone, though I do not think it fair.

I'll make you proud, as you're both watching, from believers' promised land
I'll have our love, that's still within in me, until again I take your hand.

Franklin that is one of the most beautiful loving heart touching poems I have ever read! It made me very emotional. Your love for Barbara is so obvious and I can’t even begin to know how much you miss her and how sad you must feel. Sending a big cuddle to you Franklin! Just lovely. Debx
