In Love With Our Friendship
When I saw you for the first time,
I was curious.
I wanted to know all about you,
Your likes and dislikes,
Your favorites and your least favorites
Who your best friend was and
Who you are as a person.
And as you invited me into your world,
I caught glimpses of all of this.
I learned what you liked or did not like,
What your favorite game was or your worst memory was
And who you are as a person.
So after I learned all this..... I had an epiphany.
You're not my boyfriend.
But I love your smile.
Your hugs.
The way you look at me
And how you can always make me laugh.
And so my epiphany is.......
I fell in love with our friendship.
And with you.
