In Love Again

The leaf before the foot
I fear for the crunching
Between concrete and shoe
To never be whole
The leaf before the foot

The light in my eyes
I fear for it going out
Doused by ice water
To never guide my way again
The light in my eyes

The heart in my hands
I fear a familiar but foreign feeling
For it was never mine
To lose it now I may never love again
The heart in my hands

I'm in love again...
I am the leaf before the foot
She birthed the light in my eyes
And it's her heart in my hands
I'm in love again!
