In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lion

would you say a day ending dreary,
cast in a gray of which we all grow weary,

looms sublime in its overcast fray?

earth meeting sky in flat light,
over echoed night birds reflected in white,

as april clouds wait impatient to wash it away;

but do flakes smother hope like dew
or wetly hide spring’s silent green clue?

while under black ice lurks warm summer days…

Not very familiar with seasonal changes as I live in the tropics. I just hope I said one thing right....learning still. Here in the US there's an old saying that March comes "in like a lion and out like a lamb" meaning the month of March usually starts with cold, unpleasant weather, but ends more mild. As the stormy weather has kept up past the month of March, I thought that the title was appropriate, especially now as it's still raining!!
