Notes About The Poem

In Jealousy

Why haven't aliens arrived already,
maybe you have, but we're not ready
to be amazed by your existence,

or maybe we are frightened
and do not want enlightened,
believing you to be the embodiment

of every evil sentiment
that has existed from the dawn
of God's creation whereupon

in jealousy you set your heart
to destruction and played your part,
seducing Eve away from the garden

and perfect paradise.
