In Heaven With God To Stay

When our time has come
We find ourselves saying goodbye
My how that just makes us want to cry
As we sigh to ask God why
Trying to remember its part of his plan
Even when we don't understand
Mom gets to go to your wonderland
Where she has earned her way
Let's pray for a happy reunion someday

She would say that it is okay
God came to take her away
Up beyond the sky where the angels play
Let this not be goodbye
That just makes us want to cry
We are all better off for knowing
Her beautiful spirit that left us glowing
For the memories, we shared day after day
Often she would say
Never let your fondest moments fade away

When time moves on
We must all find our way
When you pray don't worry I'm okay
That it's my turn for God to take me away
Where I will be waiting for all of you someday
When we find ourselves remembering
All the memories we shared along the way
I will be up beyond the sky where the angels play
Understand this is not goodbye
So please don't cry

I love you all very much
May you remember my touch
I will be watching with God by my side
Understand we all must take this ride
Let us celebrate my life today
Afterall I planned it this way
Think of me often when you pray
Listen for me when the branches sway
Knowing I'm in heaven with God to stay
I will never be far away
