In Hate

They grew to hate their love
The children gave it up
Now they need to feel alive
But hatred still confides

The flowers grow to die
The morning is a lie
The world is full of pain
Accept it now or cry in vain

They learn to be alone
It’s what they have been shown
Learning what to say
If it gets them somewhere it’s okay

The night shines on with peace
The day is just deceit
The people are all wrong
But keep on smiling and belong

Attracted to their love
They find the one above
And now they feel alive
Forgetting that their love had died
