In God We Trust

The land of opportunity, the land of the free
This is land we love is for all, not just you in me
We all migrated to this land, exceptions to native
We all came together to build and be creative
Peace and respect, is what one should expect to see
Though many disagreements, in God we trust, we should all agree
Everyone here creates their own destiny to succeed
And if you disagree, or bring ignorance to prosperity, you should simply leave
We might not be at our best, but this is only another test
This land always will shines, because we’re gratefully blessed
Blessed to go through struggles and rise from dust
And we’re such a cocky nation because Under God We Trust

And Under God, we are the most generous nation in the world. Love the second to last line. Yes, in this country there is hope to succeed in freedom. Yes, I'm proud to be an American. I hope you are too. Keep on writing! Thank you for your ongoing encouragment. Have a wonderful New Year! Karen
