In Front of God

IN FRONT OF GOD
You stood in church and said your vows In front of God. You would stay faithful all our days. So it is odd I think that, only six months on, You’d walk away. Was it my fault; was I lacking? You did not say. You said it was a man from long ago, A boy from school. A thing you could not fight against. Oh what a fool, To think I had you all my days 18th July 2020 Lipogram poem poetry contest Sponsor Emile Pinet

Such a sad write, Bryn but illustrates so clearly the lack of understanding about commitment in our age. Congratulations!

Congratulations Bryn! Your poem earned a distinguished place in my contest, due to the technical demands of this form it was a difficult contest to both enter and judge, but I loved the emotion you wove into your poem. Very well done my friend, Emile.
