In Front of God
IN FRONT OF GOD
You stood in church and said your vows
In front of God.
You would stay faithful all our days.
So it is odd
I think that, only six months on,
You’d walk away.
Was it my fault; was I lacking?
You did not say.
You said it was a man from long ago,
A boy from school.
A thing you could not fight against.
Oh what a fool,
To think I had you all my days
