In foggy winter of mistrust

In foggy winter of mistrust, To warm up heart in hope of sun, To dry my nagging doubts to dust, Scorch misunderstandings in June, I waited with hope till undone. And yet, not else I could but hope For my long chilling heart to thaw, Cajole it, give it a long rope, Wait for a warmer tomorrow, Or just to my thankless fate bow. _____________________________ Quintain |07.01.2024|sun, hope
