In Fantasy’s Grip

You chase sleep into a dream without any guarantee. And dance upon a moonbeam gilding a navy blue sea. You may ride a shooting star simply to know how it feels. Or view your life from afar in a series of reveals. Truths dissipate in dreamland: their existence, swallowed whole. For time's but a grain of sand falling into a black hole. Dreams let you soar to the stars on imagination's wings. And walk the surface of Mars: or run around Saturn's rings. Secure in fantasy's grip, sleep conjures dragons to mount. Letting reality slip, there's nothing you can't surmount.
