Notes About The Poem

In Dreadful Limbo

covid-19 deaths,
unemployment on the rise...
so is homelessness.

the pain very real
our ship of state is living...
a complete nightmare.

no relief in sight
not quite a happy new year...
lifeline held hostage.

great take on the contest theme, doing it with this fine senryu series. Hope you get a place in the contest, and I wish you a year much better than the last. Thanks again for your last contest.

Hello Edward, the virus is still here, now another has also come here. It is stronger than the first. This is scary. We are not over the first one yet now we have two to deal with. Scary. Enjoy your evening my friend.

the virus certainly has taken the world hostage, lets hope we can escape its strangle hold and get back to normal, so sad hearing how it is mutating as spreading despite the protocols that have been put in place:-( hugs jan xx
