In Doubt

Oh Lord, I pray with all my might
That things will turn and go just right
I sit and fret of what will become
Sometimes lose faith and barely hang on.

I tell myself, why are you in doubt
Ask the Lord, ask the Lord I shout
I should look to the brightness of day
To take all my problems away.

I should not let the darkness within
Precious moments do not come again
Waste of negativity on the mind
Life is passing a moment at a time.

For tomorrow is not promised to any one
We learn of love and joy as we go along
Trials and tribulations will come each day
We are blessed and must trust in His way.

I love the drift of this well written poem. Read "Midnight Brings The Dawn" on my page and you'll know why. They seem to be written from the same ink bottle..... Great Job.... Jake

Getting through yesterday was bad enough so tomorrow can wait awhile. Don't you feel like this too Phyl, life has it's ups and downs so we go with the flow. Your poem reeminds me of how human we all are! Luv, Lizzie

Good afternoon Lovely Phyllis, you are right we never know when are time is up. we must enjoy and accept our everyday blessings. Wasting or time is not gonna get us anywhere. Enjoyed stopping by to read your poem, I found truth in the reality of doubting. In which mean I shall doubt no more... THANKS :-) Take care and have yourself a nice day. xox~LINDA

The last stanza is so powerful, Phyllis. For tomorrow is not promised to any one.........wisdom in that line, remembering it is something we need to do..........and trust in His way.
