In Days Gone By

-From the Passover musical I wrote, "On Eagles' Wings." This was written with my sister, Amy Grace.-

In days gone by, Yehovah spoke to Abraham
That his children were to sojourn in a foreign land
They would be slaves, would be oppressed four hundred years
Then Yehovah said, “They shall return here.”
Then Yehovah said, “They shall return here.”

Will you strength to us give?
Give us reasons to live?

Will you finally look
At the beatings we took

From the whip of the foe
Oh, Yehovah please know

Oh, how desperate we are
Please stop being so far

From our screams and our yells
And the fears no one tells

Give us future and joys
Give us finally a voice
