In Days

Although she’s only four
She’ll be 5 in just days
And still making me whole
In so many more ways...
My every reason to be
So much larger than life
The best pieces of me
No matter what slice...
She still gets excited
By the smallest of things
And always a thank you
Whenever dad brings...
Something she wanted
Or nothing but smiles
With hugs and soft kisses
That last for a while...
She’s only four
But in days she'll be five
The heartbeat in me
That still keeps me alive...
