In Burlap Did He Laugh: Hexsonnetta

In burlap did he laugh,
the huskiness of mirth
to occupy the dearth
of sound. A photograph
beside the paragraph;
her testament of worth.

In satin does she weep,
cold buttons in her lap.
The invocations tap
an estuary deep.
Like flutterings in sleep
they flood the aching gap.

She penned his epitaph:
In Burlap Did He Laugh.

Reading you is like taking a random book in an ideal library: whatever you take, it's beautiful)

My goodness, you are writing more in my form than I ever did. If this form ever gets showcased somewhere, I will recommend YOURS be shown!! I've seen very few people do so well with this form as you do. You have not tried Kyrielle or Quatern? i bet you would be good at them. I know it was one of them you mentioned in your note to me.

Thanks, Jan. It's a really rough fabric, isn't it?
