In Between Dreams

In Between Dreams

In between dreams
I work and eat
Count the hours
Until I’m back to sleep
For eight hours a night
You control my mind
Seducing me
In such short time
Like a puppet
You pull my string
Placing me on a throne
To be king

I’m mesmerized
Completely taken
My need for you
Is not mistaken
This fantasy world
 In which I live
Offers that the real life
Can not give
So I’m trapped
In between dreams
Living out a life
Ripped by the seams

Is there no hope
For a guy like me?
That does like the world
In which he sees
Is dreamland
Really that bad?
When it’s a place
That doesn’t know sad
In between dreams
I try me best
But I long
For a day of rest
