In Another Time
If I shall be given another life, another attempt in this world
I pray to the God of all beings to allow me to be the perfect girl
The one who would be a product of everyone's approval
The one who would believe this world to be the one real
The one who would be socially civil
The one who would not have any inner demons to kill
The one who would be both bold and awesome
As to be not scared to accept that this world is her kingdom
Why, in another time, shall I be given the chance to
I would not hurt anyone who does be to me true
I would make sure I do please my parents
I would make sure I do give them no torments
I would make sure to pass in tests
I would make sure to make everyone feel blessed
From my friends, to my teachers, to my enemies even
Everyone, the world itself, would see me as having a soul, so golden
Why, a broken being is what I do be in this time
A broken being who does find peace in making a rhyme
A rhyme about love, a rhyme about the futile life
A rhyme about the need for inner strength
A rhyme about going on till the end of life, walking its paths
As one so careful, so cautious, but as one who does want live her dreams
A rhyme about wanting to let out shrilling screams
For in this time, in this life, I do be the world's greatest misfit
In another time, I would cater not to my individuality
In another time, I would instead be as everyone does will me to be
In another time, yes, in another time, when I shall be given another chance
Another chance to savor this world's mysterious fragrance!
