In An Instant

In an instant, one small slice of my life, I caught her eye. She was wonderful, blonde, charming, delightful, a princess in my mind. I did not catch her name, but her smile, oh, my, well. She was getting out of a beautiful navy blue Cadillac with red seats. She was more exotic than the car; her date was a handsome creature too. With dark skin and dark eyes that danced. He was delighted with her. This was at least fifty years ago and I have never forgotten A glimpse of her beautiful leg as she exited this fantastic car. The car itself, or her date’s beautiful smile. I do not remember where we were, but suspect in Des Moines which would make sense as it is the only place we ever went for dates when I was a teenager. I have thought of these gorgeous creatures and this fantastic automobile over and over in my dreams. Unsure why.
