In a Hot Spot

Jeepers it is hot in here I just burned my derriere But I don't mind at all because I am being cooked with love Tenderly simmered in a pot My skin fell off--I am so hot I feel naked but so free Juiciness all around me In a bath of smokey steam I'll soon be a yummy dream Here come more friends to hang out Seasoning poured out of a spout Flavors seeping all around Now here comes a swishing sound Being twirled with a big spoon In somebody's belly soon I will be all nice and warm Until the whole pot is gone Of a great tomato sauce Over spaghetti I am tossed

You are filled with mischief and style. Loved this bit of whimsy. Can't imagine where the lines came from, but you've definitely tapped into a source and added flavors all your own.

Robin, I neglected to respond to a comment you made several years ago. I was not as social as I am today. In any case, you have taken on a unique perspective here, and I applaud your ability to write with vegetable empathy.
