Impromptu

she says
take a rest
but i've the rest
of my life to take
one of these and say

sieste
mid day
nap time
retiring into
retirement and

just as
planned
i'm there
sitting on
a chair but

my
eyes are
shut and my
head is hanging
but not sleeping but

crying
for not as
planned you
are no where to
be found and reality

keeps
me even
from trying
to dream because
i want you with me for

real

Thank you William. I was a 9 year old Haole on Oahu in 1969. Aloha.
