Impromptu
i woke to
the rapid
fire of rain
a Chinese
water torture
test testing itself
on the roof above
my forehead then
came lightning always
followed by thunder
never one without
the other as my
stomach rumbled
waking empty but
i being a primitive
man hid
back
under
covers
fearing
to face
the day
and or
nature
