Impossible Love

Steal a kiss and walk away
Is what I intend to do.
I know that you belong to him
But, my heart belongs to you.
He may have you, oh yes he does
But, can you really feel
The love you say you have for him?
Is it even real?
I know, inside, you look to me
To give your face a smile;
Knowing that I’m here for you
And will be all the while.
Remember, now, my passion plea
Is to always be with you.
Love me not, my darling, dear?
Surely, that won’t do.
I only wish to love you so;
Your body, mind and soul
Please, my darling, love me back
Or I will lose control.
Rather than destroy the chance
I’d have to walk away.
To die, my darling, yet in love,
In spirit on that day.
