Impatience

... tadpole wiggles its tail
    'neath the reed's
    faint ripple

    itching to leap, to croak
    till its lungs
    puff purple.

... from up a nest chirping
    a fledgling aches
    to fly,

    swift swallows swish by,
    swooshing up
    to the sky!
